Can you tell me the name of the company that may be interested in buying my company?

The short answer is yes. In some cases we can tell you right away, but in others our client has asked that we wait until NDAs (nondisclosure agreements) have been signed. We generally ask would-be sellers to sign an agreement that they will not contact our client directly without our permission.

Do you charge fees to the seller?

When we are representing a buyer, we do not charge the seller a fee for services related to the potential transaction.

What about confidentiality?

We will not disclose any information about your company to anyone, even our buyside client, without your permission to do so. Some sellers are comfortable with releasing basic information such as their name, market niche, and their company’s website address. Others ask us to keep the identity of their company confidential and to initially release only very basic information and non-identifying information (e.g. approximate location, gross sales, and years in business).

How did you find us?

We search for appropriate business for our buyside clients using a variety of methods, including:

  • Public databases
  • Subscription-based proprietary database services
  • Lists from trade show and conference exhibitors
  • Our own searching via the internet
  • A list of companies to contact that we receive from our clients
